It is only possible for me under the best of situations to cut merely 365 stones a year, assuming a day per stone. Nobody should have to work that hard.
For this reason, my skill set is the commodity of value. I am very good at cutting gemstones, as my gallery, hopefully will attest to. Please check it out.
If you have any reservations whatsoever, about either my skill, integrity or honesty, I would ask you find another cutter. I will always deal honestly and with integrity, utilizing all of my skill to ensure a great transaction with my clients.
Every step of the process has been arranged to give full disclosure on your gem(s), even going so far as to document with real time updates of your stones’ progress. When I receive your stone begin my assessment process, and then advise you directly with photos and my notes in an email.
Upon agreement I proceed to preform and another report will be sent prior to cutting on the lap. This is because the situation inside a stone can drastically change depending on the internal stresses within the crystal structure. Think of it like a run in some stockings, it keeps going and going.
Situations like this can rewrite the best laid plans completely. This is the reason for consultations and updates.
Generally speaking though, the majority of stones do go as planned. It is here I send a photo of the finished stone, before shipping it back to you priority post.

It must be understood that taking a rock of considerable hardness and then cutting, grinding and then polishing to a gleaming finish takes a considerable amount of time that grows exponentially as the size of the rock progresses.

As you might imagine there are numerous factors that determine how a gemstone turns out:

-
Inclusions.
-
Fractures within the stone.
-
Colour veils
-
Saturation absorption
-
A stress point unseen can split a stone in two or more.
It is almost unbearable to lose the typical 80% of a stone in cutting them, but this is a common outcome.... so brace yourself.
The reasons are many for changes of plans. It is because of this I assume no liability for expectations that are impossible to warranty or guarantee. If this makes you uncomfortable I honestly suggest you look elsewhere for a cutter.
My assurance is that I will always try to achieve the best stone I can from the material I am offered to work with. I will work with you, provide updates throughout the work and when I work with your stone it is my 100% priority until it is completed.
